NHS Lothian Again Hits Four Hour A&E Target

Latest statistics have revealed that NHS Scotland has again hit its four hour A&E target in June – with 95.5% of patients seen, admitted or discharged within four hours throughout the month. The most recent data for NHS Scotland shows that 95.7% of patients in NHS Lothian’s emergency departments were seen, admitted or discharged within four hours in June – beating the 95% target and up from the 94% achieved in May. Scottish hospitals have now had the best performing emergency departments in the UK for more than two years, according to the most recently available figures – and figures for NHS Lothian for the week ending 23rd July show that over 97.1% of patients were seen within four hours.
