The local elections in Edinburgh delivered a fantastic result for the SNP. The SNP are now the only party in Edinburgh representing every ward in the city.
Here in Edinburgh Pentlands the SNP has pulled off a historic victory as it doubled its representation to four councillors and had the first SNP Councillor elected to the Colinton/Fairmilehead ward. In addition the only ward in the City with two SNP Councillors is the Sighthill/Longstone ward. The Pentland Hills ward also saw a rise in the number of SNP votes despite a drop in turnout of over a quarter compared to 2007.
